Hooray for Lindsay!
09.23.05 (10:09 am) [edit]
My fabulous news for the day: my fallen idol Lindsay Lohan has gone back to her signature red hair color and reverted somewhat from her anorexically thin frame. She has redeemed herself as a decent role model and my favorite redhead. Hey, she was my inspiration for my color change. I love her again. Not like that... I have it all now: great friends, a fulfilling love life, a satisfying job, a not-so-dysfunctional family, and my respect for Lindsay Lohan back. :D

Your Seduction Style: Au Natural
|

You rank up there with your seduction skills, though you might not know it. That's because you're a natural at seduction. You don't realize your power! The root of your natural seduction power: your innocence and optimism.
You're the type of person who happily plays around and creates a unique little world. Little do you know that your personal paradise is so appealing that it sucks people in. You find joy in everything - so is it any surprise that people find joy in you?
You bring back the inner child in everyone you meet with your sincere and spontaneous ways. Your childlike (but not childish) behavior also inspires others to care for you. As a result, those who you befriend and date tend to be incredibly loyal to you.

Bored in Computer Class...
09.10.05 (7:08 am) [edit]
So I have to take this dumb one-credit computer class that's a graduation requirement. It's two Saturdays from 8 a.m.-5p.m.!!! OMFG!!! So I'm really bored and could use some diversions, so please feel free to leave me fun messages or emails (katiegf@yahoo.com). Hey, at least I have time to update this, lol. :)
Random Stuff: -I got to drive to Sarasota all by myself for my doctor's appointment. I also went to Friendly's while down there. It was fun. -I'm taking my sister and her friend to Orlando for a night on the 24th for a (belated) 16th birthday present. We're gonna do dinner at Hard Rock and try to get them fake IDs so we can go to Pleasure Island, lol. -I am currently reading the 5th Harry Potter Book, The Order of the Phoenix, and it's pretty good. I also think Daniel Radcliffe is hot.

Long Time, No Write!
09.03.05 (9:47 pm) [edit]
Okay, so it's been like, almost 3 months since I've posted, but I've been BUSY!!! That darn summer camp took up so much of my time and left me exhausted by the end of the day. No life, no time. Needless to say, I won't be doing that whole thing again. The pay was great but the kids were absolute terrors. Anyway, now I'm back just doing afterschool care (and some mornings) and I have more time and my life back.
So, what's been going on with me, you ask? Remember that post where I wrote about the emotional transformation I was going through, comparing it to a phoenix rising from its ashes (see posts below)? Well I was waiting for the boring and sh*tty long period of my life to get over with so I could regain that zeal for life I used to have. I realized that 2005 would be my blah 'Hump Year' and that not too much would be happening in my life (except the unexpected turn of events in my love life) and that it was my 'rebirth' time, my time transition from one chapter in my life and begin another. I didn't even realize until a week ago that I had begun my 'ascent from the ashes' and was finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel! Things are definitely taking a turn for the better and my future is again looking bright and my goals are restored. How, you ask? Well: -I just applied and got accepted to The International Academy of Design and Technology in Tampa for their Digital Movie Production program!! Yep, I'm graduating from SPC with my AA in December and will be going to the awesome and prestigious (and expensive) IADT and may even be able to transfer to their campus in London (or at least do study abroad there)!!!:D See? I told you I was gonna do it, that I DID have goals and a clear vision of my future (this goes out to one person in particular who "couldn't be with someone who was going to CC and live in St. Pete forever and 'settle'." Eat your heart out). So, yeah, I'm pretty excited. Oh yeah, and look for my stuff on IFC within the next year or two. - The one thing that made this year a little less 'blah' and gave me some excitement (and total surprise, though a bit of grief, lol). Shall I keep it a secret? Hmm...well I stopped posting things about my personal life and relationships b/c some people just HAD criticize and put their two cents in (look, I post it and that's my business, keep your shitty comments to yourself, especially if you're not even involved). Therefore I kept a lot secret, to the people who read this, I guess. But I've decided to come clean and talk about what's going on in my life, even if some may not like what I talk about (don't read my blog then). The beginning of this past year was, to put it lightly, tumultuous. I got out of a relationship I was in (mentally and psychologically, b/c we weren't in it physically) for a substantial amount of time and, though it was for the better, it still took quite an emotional toll on me. I was very upset and decided not to get into another major relationship for a long time (playing the field doesn't count, lol)...and I met the unexpected. So the love-life aspect was fulfilled this year, myself being reaffirmed that yes, there are genuinely nice guys out there who aren't: 1. just out to get in my pants, and 2. not all about other women. And I've changed for the better in so many ways for the better because of this person (yeah, my jealousy issues? practically out the window! lol). The downside: as soon as everything else in my life finally falls into place, the one thing going right...goes away, well, physically speaking. So, now my heart is in Djibouti (he's in the Marine Reserves; what is it w/ me and military men?!).:) And I am still completely satisfied with that (Mom says I'm "quite the waiter," lol). I guess we'll just see how things go from here...
I visited NYC again from August 20-24 and had a FAAAAAABULOUS time! Heidi I did the cultural thing this time and went all over doing cool shite. I had Indian food for the first time and we got to go in the heart of Chinatown where we were the minorities! And you know how I always manage to see famous people? I saw Christian Finnegan from Best Week Ever on VH1 at the UCB Theatre and I saw Marisa Tomei in the West Village! I just love her in Only You with Robert Downey Jr.! To see all the hot pics I took whilst there, check out my Yahoo photo album . Here's a preview:
More fun news: -I just got my hair completely re-done today, to go along with the new chapter in my life. It's layered now and I decided to re-funkify it. The chick who does my hair just graduated from Aveda and wants me as her hair model for this swanky salon she wants to work at. So I may be getting my hair done for free for awhile! But don't worry, she wants to keep the red and just do different variations of it, and no crazy hair cuts, I'm growing it out.

-We have two new additions to the household as of 5 weeks ago: two chihuahua puppies, the younger which I played the midwife and helped birth it (me, the one who doesn't do animals, lol). I even named them! Aloysius Jennifer Lopez (it was on J.Lo's b-day they were born) and Leo Katie (after me and b/c she's a Leo). No one else likes the names but can't think of anything that doesn't sound gay (well, gayer than what I came up with, lol). I call them Winkie and Stinky. Here's me with Winkie, I like him b/c his head is too big for his body, lol: That's it for now! I'm not gonna promise to post again soon, lol. Besides, I've probably lost most of my readers by now anyway.:P
