Nothing Special
06.19.05 (10:01 pm)   [edit]
Just wanted to let everyone know that I haven't updated b/c I haven't done much lately. I can't wait for summer (well, summer camp) to be over!!! :o I'm sinking into depression. :( I will have a life after July 29th, which means I'll have until August 22nd to enjoy my summer. There's talk of a road trip in the works to North Carolina and visits to Orlando to club it up. I should also be going back to NYC, too. And that's about it for now.

In other news, I know this won't matter to anyone, but I finally found this one Bowie song I haven't been able to find ANYWHERE- "Absolute Beginners". I saw a concert of his from the '80s, Glass Spider Tour, and he sang it and it just touched me in so many places (lol). I suggest you download it, I found it on LimeWire for free, iTunes and MusicMatch didn't even have it. It's the small things in life...

Quickie
06.09.05 (8:36 pm)   [edit]
This week has been so 'blah', but not necessarily a bad 'blah', just neutral 'blah'. Not that nothing has been going on, I guess I'm just tuning everything out and going through the motions. I'm in one of those inwardly reflecting states again, but not the depressed kind like last time. I'm like a phoenix rising from my own ashes and being reborn into full glory...only I haven't quite gotten to the ashes part. Why am I writing all this? Lol.

Anyway, I'm pretty booked for this weekend. I'd have to say I'm a hot commodity, having gotten 4 or 5 offers for Friday night and 3 babysitting offers for Saturday night. So I'm definitely booked for Sat. night- a "Star Wars" (original) marathon w/ Mr. Oakley, one of the coolest kids I work with, so it'll be a blast (finally, a guy I can hang out w/ who doesn't want to get into my pants, lol. Besides Chad, he doesn't count). Friday is kind of in the air still but watch me end up staying at home by myself- drinking, watching Mannequin and Love Actually ("Why can't I have that?!" *sob, sob*- Me), and wallowing in self-pity. :) Sounds like my kinda fun.

And that's pretty much it for now. I have the Wonderworks field trip Monday, that I'm looking forward to, and then two more next week so work should be super easy. I can't wait for the summer to be over and I never thought I'd hear myself saying that. Check ya later!

Finally, an Update!
06.05.05 (3:48 pm)   [edit]
OH MY GOSH, I AM SOOO SORRY FOR BEING SUCH A SLACKER AND NOT UPDATING (not that anyone ever reads this)!!! So here goes:

NYC:
FAAABULOUUS!!! :D I always have a great time there, with Heidi, of course. :) So what exciting things did I do whilst there?
-get yummy cupcakes at the famous Magnolia Bakery and eat them while watching the sun set over the Hudson River, with a glorious view of New Jersey
-see awesome shows at the UCB Theatre
-shop at every H&M in town (also got the fabulous blue dress there that I can be seen wearing in those pics)
-go to a ritzy-ass wedding at a rented out four-or-five-star restaurant at the South Street Seaport with an open friggin' bar (I'll admit it: I got trashed and danced the night away, but in a very classy way )
-went to every floor of the famous Macy's on 34th St.
-Saw this semi-famous lady:
(Illeana Douglas)
-And had an all-around good time!
I'm planning on going back in August! :)

This weekend, I attended one of the biggest gay events in Florida w/ Chad and my ladies: the Deborah Cox concert at Parliament House in Orlando, the biggest party for Gay Days (an annual event which was this past week in O-town). I swear I saw almost every gay man in the state of Florida! It was sooo fabulous and crowded and tempting. I think, for every 1 female there, there were 100 gay guys, it was awesome. I even made friends w/ one of the g-string dancers, he was so friendly! Truly, it is something everyone should have on their lists of 'Things to Do Before I Die'. Lol. :D
