What an exciting past couple of weeks! Christmas turned out to be great, though I was sick twice in the week prior. I got some great gifts, including a flatscreen TV, digital camera (finally!), some bling, and a vibrating cat (my most interesting gift :D). Oh, and I got to see [i]Phantom of the Opera [/i] (the stage show) the night after Christmas; it's no [i]Cats[/i], but the pyrotechnics were awesome. :) Apparently, some people mistake work (the retail job) with highschool and insist upon creating drama where there shouldn't be. You really get to see peoples' true colors, especially after a "friend" propositions you and you turn them down, and then, not only do they stop being your friend (big surprise), but they spread untrue rumors about you at work about you being in love with them and other b.s. and causing general strife and tension in the workplace. But the upside to all this- your real friends show themselves.
Heidi has been in town and we've been galavanting around town. We plan on going down to Sarasota while she's here and we're planning a fake bachelorette party get-together at Pleasure Island (this weekend?) in Downtown Disney so that should be fun.
A New Year's Eve soiree is also in the works so keep an eye out on here for crazy pics of the event! :D

Now that school is out (for me and almost for the little kids I work w/ every day) [i]allllll[/i] of that stress and craziness is totally off my back and I can breathe easy. Well, the only stress I have right now is getting our rec center decorated for the contest next week, making all kinds of decorations and shopping for the stuff on a tight budget. It's amazing how your priorities can change concerning your job and kids (well, they're not [i]mine[/i] exactly, lol)- I'm all hurrying to get this red and green garland chain thingy made out of construction paper finished, making sure all the parents know about our group's Christmas party today, and generally keeping order within my ranks every day (Group 2, the 1st and 2nd graders). :) I love the job. :D
In other news, I spent hours finishing my latest batch of cookies which kinda got screwed up, then fixed, then I had to make all the darn icing from scratch and ice all of them. Oh, and I burned the third tray of them. :D I have a few more new holiday cookie recipes I'm going to try and add my own artistry to. :wink:
Also, I might be attending a small soiree at Ben's place tonight and I have the rec center's [i]real[/i] Christmas party (and my first real office party) next Thursday night, so hopefully I can get outta that floorset at AE.
Lastly, yes...I did not attend Clay Aiken's concert last night and spent the night in alone. :cry: In honor of my love for him, I sang "If I Can't Have You", by the BeeGees and "Invisible", by Clay, to him when I was all alone in my house doing my hair this morning. :D One day I will have you, Clay, and we will show everyone that we are soo happy (and you're [b]not[/b] gay) and everyone will be so envious of our everlasting love for one another!!! <3>

I just finished my last two exams this morning and am sooo relieved. This morning, I overslept, was almost late to my first exam, and am on crazy PMS mode so I was dizzy and nauseous through my whole math exam (read: my hardest exam). But everything went okay...I hope and I'm currently in bed typing this, recuperating with hot chocolate and a nap before I have to deal with those little hellions at work. :D
Fun News: I'm getting my hott new specs tonight (think: sexy librarian :P) and mom and Lexi are most [i]definitely[/i] going out of town Friday night (read: house and possibly car all to myself)! :wink: Aaaand...my other crazy bestest friend is coming home from NYC on Sunday!!! Things are definitely looking up.
