Birthday Surprises and Scary Movies
08.31.04 (5:17 pm) [edit]
Ooh, where to begin...what have I done in the past week?
Thu.- Driver's test, no comment. :) Kris and I got together for a sleepover and ended up not going to Ybor b/c we started watching this really bad movie on Lifetime (who writes this stuff?!) It was so bad it was good. Also, we had to get up early the next morning so we didn't wanna be out all night. Fri.- Who is the best sister in the world? ME!!! :D Kris and I got up at 5:15 A.M. to blow up all the balloons for my sis for her birthday. Then we had to get to her school at 6:30, before her bus got there, to stake it out and surprise (and embarrass) her in front of the whole school. We ambushed her in the hall w/ a bunch of balloons, leis, and our silly hats- clapping, shouting, and singing to her. We followed her around, being all loud and announcing it was her birthday. Then we followed her to her first period class then had to haul booty outta there b/c we didn't wanna be mistaken for skippers who were violating the school dress code...and it's illegal for us to be on their campus. It was a fun and successful mission (Alexa, continuously proclaiming I was an "asshole"); but wait til next year for her Sweet 16...she's gonna get Punk'd! :D Sat.- Went over to where Kris was babysitting and watched UCB and Mannequin (:sigh: Andrew McCarthy...) until 11. Then we went to see the midnight showing of the new Exorcist movie (not a good idea to see when you're a little uner the influence). Um...I have never been more disturbed by a movie in my whole life. There were times when I thought I'd cry and throw up at the same time. Need I say more? So Kris and I were scared that the devil was after us that night after seeing that movie. Sun.- The family came over to celebrate the sis' b-day then I split from that joint to go hang out with, who else- Kristen. We headed over to Treasure Island beach and there was this big drum circle and all these people; it was cool...hippie, but pretty cool. This guy who looked like a younger, hotter Bill Paxton started talking to us when we took a walk down the beach and he was kinda...different. he looked all normal, but I bet if there hadn't been so many people around, he so woulda invited us to his place then slipped us some rufees and, well, you know how that goes. After that, we hit up Blockbuster and rented Salem's Lot (the original) and An American Werewolf in London (we're on a scary movie kick). See, Kristen has a great fear of werewolves and being outside in the dark, and I'm scared of zombies, robots, and sharks (but y'all already know that). Mon.- That night we finished both movies and were good and scared. :) Tonight- St. Elmo's Fire (not scary) and Bram Stoker's Dracula?
Also- Kris might have the hookup with a good job at her rec center for me. I'll be blingin' and ballin'!

Rockin' It Downtown
08.25.04 (8:13 pm) [edit]
O-town was fun. Alli, Kris, and I went up Friday to visit Chad and Cookie (they were moving into their new apt. at UCF) and spend two nights there. Kris and I made this cd for the trip up there that was made up of a bunch of songs we heard at The Castle the night before. It had this new song by JC Chasez, "All Day Long I think About Sex" (what a winner), and some other fun songs that we played over and over and Alli got very sick of them. They were very fun to dance to, though, especially when we were inebriated and dancing around Friday night. We also got to meet Chad's gay friends (very cute but not straight...just my type! :D) and one of them showed us his sex toys. I felt very accepted. Gay guys love us. :) Saturday, we had to stay in all day b/c there was a bad thunderstorm. On the way to Downtown Disney that night, we listened to Chad's Celine Dion's Greatest Hits and totally jammed, my fave track is the one where that Asian girl is playing the violin in the video, I forgot the name. Then we went to The House of Blues and got dessert and listened to the music. After that, Kristen spotted the love of her life at the Virgin Records Megastore- some hot foreign guy who probably spoke little English and she was trying to hunt him down to show Alli and I but he vanished. I showed Chad the extensive and humorous gay books section and we looked at fun pictures. I found out that my friend Brandon was there so we met up at Virgin and chatted for a bit. Then we were on our way back to Chad's, belting '80s power ballads and drag queen songs at the top of our lungs w/ the windows rolled down. That Chad has good taste in music, but his taste in men could be better. Anyway...I've been rockin' it at the Downtown SPC campus, I got all of my classes there (except my Mon. film class). I'm done before 11 and I don't have school on Friday! Oh- and Starbucks is right across the street!! :D I finally got my hair re-done and it's back to it's rockin' red awesomeness. See, when my hair isn't to my liking, it affects my whole mood, so that's why I was kinda in a funk the last 2 weeks. But I am carefree now and back to my spunky self! :) I know I may seem vain about my hair, but it means a lot to me. My hair represents my uniqueness and fun-loving attitude; I stand out in the crowd and that's important to me. I don't wanna be no carbon copy and if people don't like how I look then that's just too bad. :P Update on the car: Next week!!! (hopefully...)

Risky Business...
08.18.04 (11:48 am) [edit]
I am terrible. Okay, working in a popular retail store now, I have a lot of respect for other people who work in retail and, when shopping, I now am more considerate when shopping and trying things on. For example, when I'm done trying clothes on, I put them back on their hangers and put them back where I found them. I hate people who try a bunch of crap on then leave it all in a huge pile in the dressing room. Well, I was feeling naughty today so I decided to go back into Hollister (gasp! :o) and play fashion show with Kristen while we were at the mall today, trying on their most hideous items. Remember the vest I mentioned in my previous post (see below)? Well, I went back in and tried it on with some other crap (and some cute items too). Now, in the picture below, the vest actually looks a little better than it does in the flesh (or the polyester :)) and, you can't tell from the picture, but it's not very long and sits right above the belly button when you try it on. #1- Why are they selling this item in Florida? #2- It's obviously not gonna help people keep warm in colder climates b/c it's so tiny! So I tried the vest on but the only thing I was wearing underneath was my hot VS bra that makes me look like I have more boobage (). I came out of the dressing room like this, vest zipped very low, my midriff and "cleavage" exposed and the faux fur collar upturned, and asked the sales guys if it looked okay w/o a shirt on underneath and what skirt would look good with it. I followed one of the guys around the store looking for a skirt all while wearing this monstrosity. I told them I was auditioning for The Real World and wanted an outfit that would really stand out and I asked if anyone had purchased the vest (they disgustedly said no b/c they even knew no one would buy it, except me :D) b/c I didn't want to wear anything that anyone else would have. Oh- I even tried on some of the striped legwarmers w/ my hot outfit too, lol. :) Needless to say, I didn't purchase anything but I wanted to put some items on hold so they'd think I was actually going to buy them but they don't put items on hold! I told them I had to check if I had maxed out my credit card and would either be back later or just take my business to the store in Tampa. That's what they get, effers. :D I really hate Hollister. Yes, I've finally been in there and I do like some things and may purchase some, but they're all pompous and preppy and fake. Kids only go in there to buy shirts that say "Hollister" all over the damn thing so the other kids will think they are cool by shopping there. Sorry Nick White if you're reading this, I know you work there and I think you're awesome, I just don't like your store and what it stands for, plus, American Eagle is better. :D I'm very opinionated, people, so if you don't like what I say, just blow it off...or don't bother reading my blog.
Driver's test today!!! :D

Vamosin'
08.17.04 (11:24 am) [edit]
What a week it was! So much craziness and I ask, "Why me?" Not only did I get the mega-flu (thanks to staying out late every single night b/c my friends made me or else they would call me the 'p' word) that I'm still trying to shake, I had to evacuate from my home (to Ocala), the chick at the salon didn't listen to what I wanted for my f-ing hair, and I missed my driver's test again...all this while majorly PMS-ing. Thank goodness that the hurricane didn't hit us, b/c that would just be the icing on the cake, but I feel really bad for the people it did hit.
Okay, now for the good crazy stuff that happened: -Saturday night, Kris, Chad, and I got a whole free dozen donuts from the Krispy Kreme factory/store and free coffee! All you have to do is go in right before they close and hassle the kid behind the counter, ask about the donut making process, and take a really long time to order. If we hadn't gotten all that stuff for free, I would have complained to his manager b/c every other word out of his mouth was the f word. Cute kid.
-After that, we headed to Super Wal-Mart (again) to just mess around (a favorite pasttime of ours until we can legally purchase alcohol and go bar hopping). Kris and I tried on these lovely denim jumpsuits that zipped all the way down and had a built in belt. We want to get them and use them for Halloween and clubbing at the booty clubs in Ybor (I don't know if I could ever get up the guts to actually go, though).
-Sunday, we went to the mall so I could pick up my check from work. Chad, pretty much out loud, said one of my co-workers was gay (he wished) and that my manager has no fashion sense (this is true but he need not have said it out loud). He thinks just b/c he's out of the closet now he's the authority on what and who is gay and fashionable. Then Chad insisted on going into Hollister (devil, rival store) so, while waiting for him to get his butt out of the dressing room, I put on a fashion show for Alli and Kris in the middle of the store, showcasing their ugliest items. They had this vest that looked like the one Michael J. Fox wore in Back to the Future but it was pink and had a big faux fur collar, and they're selling this in Florida!!! They have crazy hoochie clothes too and I did hot model poses and sexy faces while trying them on. Also, they had these crazy-colored leggings! Sorry, Hollister, but I don't think those will catch on, especially in Florida. I'll be purchasing some when they're on clearance. :D
-Last night (Monday), Kris and I picked up Alli and we went cruisin'. We didn't know what to do so I said, "Hey, let's got to that creepy cemetery in Gulfport." So we did. We turned into it on what we though was a real road, but as we drove further into the creepy dark cemetery, we realized that it may have been a walking trail. We couldn't turn around so we kept driving forward, hoping to find an outlet road at the back. We did but we had to drive over grass to get onto it. Not realizing it until we were driving on the grass, we think we drove over graves, you know, the ones w/ the flat headstones, but we didn't mean to!!! Then we got onto the road but it turned out to be the Pinellas Trail (a bike/wallking path that is illegal to drive on). Luckily, we got off that w/o getting arrested. Alli was like, "Katie, you wanna see the glowing heads?" And I was like, "Schwhat?" So we drove to this neighborhood (an African American one) and, hanging in the window of this one house were these two glowing dummy heads hanging by their hair. They were white dummy heads, mind you and it's not Halloween. I so wanna go trick-or-treating at that house. :D
So that's what I did the past few nights. I'm most likely going to Orlando for the weekend to visit Chad and live it up in O-town. Pure O-town swank. (P.S.: Check back soon for pics of when we soaped the fountain and pics from our hotel party. I have proof of Chad getting all up on me! :))

I Feel Crappy
08.11.04 (11:09 am) [edit]
I've been home recuperating since Monday from my illness (Chad and Kristen think I'm lying about it). We did go out and see a movie last night- Anchorman, which we saw at the Muvico in Centro Ybor. It's all nice and clean at that one b/c no one goes there. The decor is awesome and it's great except for the fact that our theater smelled somewhat like a fish market (reminded me of the girls' bathrooms in high school, lol). :D I think we're gonna all stay in tonight b/c Kris is babysitting so they won't make me go out tonight. Of course, I could invite Chad over but then his mom would be even more set on the idea that we're secretly seeing each other...too bad we both like boys. :)
Also, tomorrow is my driver's test (finally)!!! And I'm getting my hair done so it's gonna look awesome again. Oh- and if I'm not on this weekend at all, it's probably b/c we have this huge tropical storm or something heading this way. :)

Disney Fun and Being Crazy
08.09.04 (11:11 am) [edit]
Disney was awesome (it having been my 6th trip within a year) and we all had a lot of fun. Our waiter at the House of Blues restaurant looked like Clay Aiken! When he asked us if we wanted dessert, I replied by asking him if he was on the menu. Tiff says I gots balls, lol. Don't worry, I didn't give him my number or anything; I'm not that kind of girl. :) We went to Pleasure Island and danced the night away at 8 Trax, the '70s/'80s club. The next day we went to the Magic Kingdom and it was crowded and hot as balls but we managed to have a good time, nonetheless.
Saturday night, my crazy friends who make me do crazy things (Kris and Chad) decided we should get a hotel room. So we did. We stayed at the La Quinta in Pinellas Park, the one near Super Walmart. We decided to stay there b/c they have a free continental breakfast and the man on the phone said there'd be waffles. Well, there were no waffles and I was pissed. We tried to stay up all night and we had a stake-out of the Dunkin Donuts at 3 a.m. b/c we wanted their old donuts that they give to the bums. We were tired of waiting so we went back to our swanky hotel room. We all fell asleep around 4:30 and woke up for the free breakfast (minus waffles) at 8:30. What a fun night it was. :D
If you didn't know already, I've been out every night this past week and getting no sleep so now I'm way sick and have to stay home and recuperate. I need to be better by Thursday night when we go to the Castle. My friends make fun of me b/c I can't party hard every night. Cut me some slack, kids, I'm hypoglycemic! :D

Soap+Fountain= Fun
08.05.04 (11:47 am) [edit]
I've been a bad, bad girl. My friends (i.e.: Kristen and Chad) are bad influences on me, lol. The night before last we were hanging out and very bored. Then the idea of soaping up a very large, well-known (in the city) fountain came up. I was feeling wild- I was in. We ventured to the magnificent Super Wal-Mart in glorious Pinellas Park to stock up on dish soap. Chad suggested we get citrus scented soap so the fountain would smell good. He's so creative sometimes. So we got in our fountain jumping clothes and headed out. That was the most fun, most illegal thing I have ever done. Alli came along too for the fun. So we were splashing around and hiding from passing cars in the bubbles...and we hear the sirens. We ran like hell. What an adrenaline rush! I personally don't think they were coming for us (we never ended up seeing the 5-0 anyway). Why would they turn on the sirens for us b/c, of course, they'd scare us away. I don't know if I'd do it too often, but it was fun. Hey, at least I'm not doing drugs (I never said I wasn't drinking though ) or ho-ing it up w/ nasty guys, or any guys at all, for that matter. :D
P.S.: I almost accidentally stole a sweater from Wal-Mart last night (while w/ Chad and Kris, go figure) but I put it back b/c I could never steal! :)

Super NYC Adventure!!!
08.04.04 (12:17 pm) [edit]
Alright, I've finally decided to update. I've just been too lazy because so much happened and I'd have to type a lot, lol. Let's just say that I had the best vacation in my entire life. Yeah, it was less than a week, but it was a magical six days. Now I didn't do much relaxing on this vacay (I thought I had the flu on Sunday), I was always on the go and livin' it up in the citay.
Wednesday- Took it easy, well, easier than the other days I was there. Heidi and I walked around her neighborhood (Union Square, she's right across the street from the park) for an hour or so. We went back to her apartment/dorm to get ready for the evening- she had to go to her first Level 2 improv class at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre (she was super psyched and super nervous) and I was going out with an old friend. That evening, I found the SoHo American Eagle!!! It was so cool because they have these celebrity (or whoever) designed t-shirts just for that store, so I got one to show off at work. :) Heidi and I had planned to go to the UCBT to see some shows but we were exhausted so we just went upstairs and girl talked and went to sleep.
Thursday- Woke up bright an early (10 a.m.) for fun-filled day of shopping in SoHo and haggling in Chinatown. We also went to this ultra cool, ultra mod Thai restaurant called Spice for lunch, right around the corner from Heidi's place. I love Thai food: yum, yum! :D I hate how everyone always orders Pad Thai, though- be more adventurous people! Try the panang red curry, and don't forget- dessert sticky rice is like an orgasm in yo mouf! :) We got all gussied up that evening and headed out for the UCBT to see some kickass improv- Instant Cinema (very funny; I have a new improv crush: Chris Gethard, he's super awesome! Neil Casey is hilarious too, and Zach Woods is exceptionally talented esp. for being so young) and Cagematch w/ Filth vs. some team whose name I forgot (needless to say, Filth dominated). That night, all of my comedy dreams were realized and my love for it was rekindled. It took me four years to get to the UCB Theatre (Heidi and I tried to go see a show at their old location back when we were 15) and I finally made it. And I fell in love. /sigh
Friday- Spent the day in Times Square getting totally drenched. We were meeting up with a friend of mine and decided on going there...bad idea. Overcrowded tourist area + non-stop, torrential rain = not fun. I was so pissed because it was raining the day I decided to straighten my hair out, ugh. We went into the huge Toys R Us and rode the ferris wheel. Heidi though it'd be fun to say the f-word on the ride b/c it would be so controversial and pushing the envelope, considering our location. So we did. And it was fun. I feel so dirty just admitting that I participated in the act. Other than that, we just went around Times Square and ended up hanging out at Jamba Juice for an hour or so. That was the best smoothie I had ever had. After visiting with my friend, we headed back to Heid's crib to get all hot to go back to the UCB. We found out that Matt Besser (yes, from the original UCB TV show on Comedy Central) would be in a show that night and I was all like, "We're so going!", because I wouldn't be able to make his one man show the next night. I was super psyched. So, we're walking toward the theatre and we're just about to go inside when none other than THE MATT BESSER IN THE FLESH walked out and held the door for me!!! I was speechless. So speechless, in fact, that I think I forgot to thank him. So, Matt, if you're reading this or if someone who knows him is and could pass on this message: "Thanks for being such a gentleman. You made one little girl's (and one big fan's) night and trip to the big city unforgettable. P.S.: I love you." Lol, thanks.:D Then we proceeded to the ticket window only to find out that the show was cancelled. I wasn't too upset b/c I had just gotten so much closer to him than I would have just watching him perform on stage. I may sound a bit obsessed to some of you by now, but rest assured that, alas, I am not I am just a crazy fan whose life was changed so many years ago by that magical television show he was in. :) So yeah, Matt was still outside when we exited but I was too chickensh*t to say anything to him. I didn't want to come off as a starstruck teenybopper or anything. Heid and I went around the corner and hung out at the McD's to wait until the next show, instead of walking all the way back to her place. The 10 p.m. show was The Swarm and they were amazing! Billy Merritt is hilarious (and can be seen on one of those clip shows on VH1) and the whole cast just kicked ass. It was so funny because Michael Delaney and Katie Roberts look like my parents! I was like, "Dude, my parents are really funny!" Lol. :D I wish my parents were super cool improvisors. Then we saw Liquid Courage which was hosted by Shit-Storm. It was cool b/c they're not too much older than Heid and I and they've got a team and their own show at the UCB, thus giving us hope. Sean Hart was my personal fave. But Eric and Brian were really awesome too. I'd like to see them again. :) When we were walking home, Chris Gethard was walking toward us, presumably towards the theatre, and I stopped him to tell him how great he was the previous night. I think I scared him, lol. We got to walk the streets of NYC at one in the morning to get back to Heidi's, so that was cool. I didn't even get mugged! Just hooted at my some guys in a garbage truck or something, lol. I was flattered.
Saturday- On Saturday morning, Heidi took me to Penn Station where I boarded a train to Long Island to visit the fam. My uncle, sister, and cousins picked me up at the train station. I hadn't seen Jillian, my 6 year-old cousin in two years and boy, has she changed...she thinks she's black. She wore a white NBA sweat band on her head and the matching wristbands. Alexa (my sis) and Katelin (my 16 year-old cousin) were making Jillie show off the gang signs she had learned- one of which was the sign for cunnilingus. I tried not to laugh and told her that was a bad sign. Lexi and Kate swore they didn't teach it to her. Hmmm...what else did I do that day? Well, my uncle took us to the local mall to show me my own store (American Eagle) and then we left, then we went to this boutique b/c my sister wanted to return an overpriced top my aunt insisted she buy the day before, I got to get coffee at Dunkin Donuts...and that's about it. Exciting. That evening, my grandparents came up from Connecticut to have dinner with us, as well as my uncle's parents, sister, neice, and nephew (no relation to me). My aunt thought I'd like a drink (yes, a real drink) so I could be like all the grownups, because she figured I'm almost 20 and that's really close to 21, so why not? Lol. :) See, I don't drink too often (not that I don't like to, I just don't have the means or desire most of the time) so I'm a lightweight. She made me a screwdriver and I was fine for awhile...then it started to kick in. Then I had another one I swear was stronger. Yeah, I had to excuse myself from chatting and whatnot w/ relatives to go upstairs and lay on the floor and call my friends to tell them I was drunk. I then remembered that my allergy medicine I had taken may have been a factor in my inebriation. That normally would be fun, but not when you're with your family, trying to hold adult conversations and pretend like you're sober...and not run into anything. :D I got to watch Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (starring my girl, Lindsay Lohan) finally. It was weird. Then I went to sleep.
Sunday- Alexa and I got driven into the city by our uncle. Oh, also that morning, I woke up feeling like crap, I was positive that this was the onset of the flu. Oh man, I was pissed b/c I didn't want to be sick that night for Heidi's show and the ASSSSSSCAT! show at the UCBT. I HAVE WAITED FOUR YEARS TO SEE THAT DAMN SHOW AND NOTHING IS GONNA STOP ME FROM SEEING IT!!! I took some Tylenol Flu and then walked all around SoHo w/ my sis. We went to H&M and I found the hottest dress ever! I knew it was on that clearance rack that was right near the fitting rooms where I was in line for a reason...it was meant to be worn to my very first ASSSSCAT! show. Me and that dress were meant for each other (seriously, you guys should see it and you'll realize why it was on clearance, because it wouldn't look good on anyone else:D). Heidi's graduation show (from her Level 1 improv class) was totally awesome...except for that fact that I thought I was going to throw up a few times and was deciding which exit I could use in the event that I did puke. Right after the show, outside the theatre, I so saw Rob Huebel (on A2Z on VH1, is the spokesman for NetZero, to name a few things, and I was pretty familiar with his yumminess, lol) walk inside and we walked right by me!! Took my breath away. :) After that, Heid went off with all of her classmates so Lex and I had to wait in line for about an hour and a half for tickets to the 9:30 ASSSSCAT. It was freezing out (to a Floridian, "freezing" means any temp. lower than 75F) so my condition was getting worse and worse. I was afraid of getting sick during the show and not be able to get to the bathroom in time, or worse, missing it altogether. Heidi came back to cut in line right before they started to give out tickets at 8:15 and then we went to Dunkin' Donuts around the corner to wait an hour to see the show. I figured I'd better eat something b/c it might make me feel better...or throw up, so I had a bagel (I heart bagels ;)). Then it was time for the show. I was super psyched. We got seats in the last row of the middle section and I was perturbed b/c they weren't closer but I quickly changed my mind when I realized that the performers stand right behind where we were sitting before they go on. I glanced behind me to see who was standing there, thinking it was no one special, and I froze in shock. Standing behind me was Matt Besser, Matt Walsh (other dude from orig. UCB tv show), Rob Huebel, Rob Riggle, Paul Scheer, Jack McBrayer, etc.!!!!!! Holy crap, it was so cool b/c they were only feet from me. When Besser and Walsh went on to start the show, I noticed from the corner of my eye someone leaning on the riser that we were on, so I looked and did a double take. It was Seth Meyers from SNL! That was cool and he is so much cuter in person, too bad he's not my type. The show was so amazing and magical and it seemed to last forever; I was in heaven. It was so cool seeing Besser and Walsh work together and their onstage chemistry with one another; I told Heidi it was like watching the fourth season oF UCB (there were only 3 seasons). And you know what? My sickness suddenly had vanished! I was cured! Comedy truly is the best medicine. :) After the show, I was walking in the hallway part behind the seating towards the theatre exit and guess who was walking the opposite way? Rob Huebel!!! I almost died. I was tired of being a chickensh*t and not approaching the performers whom I admire so I smiled and started chatting him up. I don't remember everything that was said but we talked for a good few minutes. I was trying to keep it short so he could go on his way but he kept it going and asked me questions and stuff, like if I lived in the city (he wished!). He was sooooo dreamy and wonderful, and he has such a firm handshake! :D Hopefully I didn't make too much of an ass of myself, lol. I also hope to see him again when I go back up there in September or October b/c I'd like to talk to him again, you know, professional advice and whatnot. That whole night was the highlight of my trip and I am so inspired now to get back into comedy and improv. Don't get me wrong, I don't get all ga-ga over celebrities or anyone remotely famous. If I saw Brad Pitt or Julia Roberts walking down the street I wouldn't get half as excited as seeing one of the performers I named above because I don't look up to the super celebs, I don't want to be them and they don't inspire me. I would much rather be known and loved by a small group than known by everyone and liked just because I'm mega famous. I want to inspire people like I am inspired by the people at the UCB; they're the reason I got into comedy in the first place so many years ago. If I hadn't watched their show when it started when I was in 8th grade, I don't think I'd be quite the same person today or have the same goals and ambitions. I went to bed a very happy girl that night, my fire having been reignited and my passion for the game rekindled. I heart comedy. :D
Monday- Nothing too special, just recuperating from the night before but fully cured of my illness. Heidi, Lexi, and I met our uncle at his office which is across from Carnegie Hall. We had an overpriced breakfast (because we were uptown) at a fancy diner and then went on a Central Park adventure. Alexa took pictures of Heidi and me frolicking in the green grass and posing in front of the statues. We are wild and crazy girls, lol, wait for me to upload those pics. :) Then we went back to Chinatown and shopped. We got taken into one of those secret back rooms in one of the shops where they sell illegal knockoff purses. What a rush! Now I can actually say that I've been to one of those secret illegal purse rooms and taken part in an illegal transaction. Lex bought this cute Burberry knockoff for 25 bucks and she got a fake LV the other day she went down there. After hanging out at Heidi's place for an hour it was time to go. We went downstairs and hailed a taxi (the first guy wouldn't take us b/c he didn't wanna go to LaGuardia) and said goodbye to Heidi and Erika (Heidi's awesome roommate). "I'll be back," I said. I am currently making plans on coming back in either Sept. or Oct. and then again in Dec. I gazed out the window of the cab as we drove out of Manhattan, hoping to see some celebrities (either mega famous or just semi-famous, possibly UCB performer ones, lol) and I saw one! That gay guy with the glasses and curly black hair who is always dishing gossip on E! and he's a columnist for the Village Voice (Michael something...) was riding his bike. It was cool. :) "Bye, Manhattan, I'll see you again soon!," I exclaimed. We got to the airport two-and-a-half hours before our flight so Lex and I chilled at the terminal. Starbucks was so expensive I wasn't even gonna waste my money on it this time. There were these people sitting behind us at the gate and they had a small dog with them. It was these two little girls (sisters, obviously) and it was so cool b/c they had two dads! I was like (to myself), "Go you guys and your love! Don't let those Republicans put you down and not let you get married!" :D The plane ride was bearable b/c I watched BBCAmerica the whole time; I love that channel.
Also: I'm currently planning on moving up to NYC and living there next summer to take improv classes at the UCBT and make good contacts. 8) The End. ::wink::

It's August already?! Dag, yo. This summer is just flyin' by. Anyway, I wanted to apologize for not updating, especially since my super New York City adventure last week (it's a lot to type and I'm currently working on that post; I promise it will be up in 24 hours), I've been super busy w/ work (Tax Free Week here in FL and remember who works in the hip retail store? :)). So, please check back real soon for my long post about my trip. I'm also gonna post new pics soon and I'm going to Disney this week (which will be my fourth time at EPCOT in less than a year) so I'll have stuff to post from that. Check ya lataz, peepz! :D
