My Southern Adventure
05.31.04 (4:28 pm)   [edit]
*Sigh* Yes, I have returned from my long journey, my faithful internet fans. Now how shall I sum up my trip? By giving y'all a list of fun facts and tips you should know when going to The South (f.y.i.: for those of you who don't live here, Florida is not considered part of "The South").
-The roads and rest area bathrooms are much nicer in GA, SC, and NC.
-Fayetteville, NC is a great place to pick up guys...if you're into military men. I have never seen so many single young men in my entire life and, no, it wasn't as great as it sounded because military men aren't usually my bag, baby.
-There are so many fast food chains up there! The whole place (Fayetteville) is all friggin' restaurants and highways, but not a Starbucks in sight! ("Bojangle's Chicken and Biscuits" amused me :)
-Clay Aiken is from Raleigh, NC (sorry to those of you I told that it was GA) and he and I were sleeping in the same state, less than a few hours away from each other, last Wednesday when he was doing that American Idol finale thing. <3 Also, on my way out of NC, this radio station played a song of his! It's a sign! :D >-South of the Border kicks so much booty. It is a must see for anyone who travels to that area. It was the highlight of my vacation. I'm going there on my honeymoon some day and I shall stay in one of their 20 luxurious Honeymoon Suites (hey, you get a complimentary bottle of champagne!) :)
-There is such thing as "Southern hospitality" and I experienced it at every single freakin' restaurant. It was amazing! :o
-Apparently, people in The South don't drink Diet Coke with Lime, I couldn't find it anywhere. Must be a Yankee thing. :D
-Every state in The South is obsessed with Gone With the Wind crap even though that movie took place in Georgia.

I have plenty more stuff to write about but I don't feel like posting it right now. Maybe I will later. Anyway, I highly recommend taking a road trip to the wonderful Southern states of Georgia and North and South Carolina. Not only is it interesting, you will be able to appreciate afterwards that you don't live there. :D (No offense to those who do. I'm sure there are many other nice, non-podunk places there.)

P.S.: First day of new job tomorrow! :D

Muskrat Love
05.23.04 (11:31 am)   [edit]
Wow, it's Sunday already. How times flies when you're FREAKING BORED!!! :)

Today Mom, Ghetto Princess (Lexi), and I are going to look at houses down in BFE (Ellenton) because Mom wants to move. Well you lil' effers here in Pinellas County aren't getting rid of me that easily. It's not very likely that we'll end up moving anyway, Mom just has these crazy shemes every once-in-awhile that she never follows through on.

Other than that, I won't be doing anything until Tuesday when I leave for North Carolina. I'll be back the Following Monday afternoon. So, between Tuesday and Memorial Day, I'll probably have no Internet access, which means no new posts, and I can't use my cell phone outside of the state. Yay. I hope I get to go to South of the Border, now that would make the trip worthwhile. I'm gonna get married there some day, and Tom Waites will play at my wedding. :D

Check ya later, my faithful readers and stalkers. :P

The Castle Again!
05.21.04 (10:34 pm)   [edit]
Tiff and I went to the Castle last night again. Peter Pan was there again and he was wearing the full costume, red feather in his hat and all! He likes to prance around and he's really nice. I'm still too shy to go up to him, though. :)

Um...other than that, not too much is going on. I'm at Tiff's playing games and stuff with her new squeeze (kind of). Don't really have any plans this weekend. Just getting ready to go to N.C. Tuesday (back Mon., Memorial Day).

And, last but not least, a very special shout out to The Bartman! :D

Starstruck and Job Success
05.20.04 (11:08 am)   [edit]
Tiff and I got to meet Colin Machrie and Greg Proops from Whose Line... the other day! We're in commercials for the CBC (Canadians) for the show!!! It was so much fun, we may get to do it again another day this week. Hey, I can put this on my resume. :D

Yes, Ladies and Gents, I got a job. It was actually the first place that interviewd me. The pay is awesome and I think I'll really have a good time there. Now if the other places (i.e.: American Eagle) call and can offer me as much or more...I may switch, but it's not likely. Oh, I didn't even say where I'll be working! I'm going to keep it hush hush for a little while.

Movie Review- Van Helsing
05.17.04 (7:16 pm)   [edit]
So Tiff, her mom, and I went to see Van Helsing last night. What a comedy! Yeah, it's supposed to be this huge action-adventure flick, but it's a barrel of laughs! Who wrote this?!
I could not believe the likes of Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale did something like this. It was entertaining, don't get me wrong, but there was too much going on and they were desperately pulling for laughs with these terrible jokes and innuendos. I couldn't even focus enough to really identify with or feel for the characters because the movie was just all over the place.
The plot was pretty bad too. Yes, it's not suposed to be realistic, but it was too far out to be the least bit believable (that goes for the acting, too).
Oh my gosh, and the special effects! You could totally tell it was blue screened in many parts and the CGI wasn't up to par.
The best part of the whole movie: Hugh Jackman with barely any clothes on with his heaving, ripped, sweaty chest. Now that made the movie worth seeing.

Good Times
05.14.04 (1:50 pm)   [edit]
Last night at The Castle was super fun! First of all, not only did I see the old guy who parades around in lacy women's underthings (the "Senator" or something), I walked in on him in the ladies' room changing into his getup so I got to see way more than the other patrons at the club. I'm scarred for life. :P
Then, guess who else was there?! THE PETER PAN GUY!!! He's the guy that dresses up like Peter Pan and has a really popular website with him and his outfits. (http://www.pixyland.org) It's like a Sasquatch sighting! :D He was wearing a brown Peter Pan costume and was playing pool like 5 feet away from me! I also saw him dancing later. He is cut!
I also saw a bunch of friends from high school so that was cool. We'll probably go back next week, it was awesome! :D

Heaven...
05.13.04 (11:54 am)   [edit]
Guess who made a special appearance on American Idol last night? I'll give you some hints: he has sparkling green eyes, his voice is a gift from Heaven, he has stolen my heart away, and he is NOT GAY!!! :D CLAY!!! He looked so much better than the night before. It made my night!

Feelin' Fine
05.12.04 (11:47 am)   [edit]
Obviously, a lot of people see my blog and a lot of people take it out of context. Please, take most of what I say with a grain of salt and don't try to get into the middle of the personal business I DON'T post. Thank you.

Today, I'm finishing up painting my room, then I'm going to Tiff's for a dinner party. I, right now, am feeling great, ready to take on the world and the work force. I also have some fun plans for the week, like tomorrow night I'll be clubbin' at The Castle in Ybor ('80s Night, not real clubbin', lol). :)

Ooh! Last night I saw Clay on Leno and he sang and it melted my icy heart! /sigh. What a voice... It makes up for the fact that he could be gay (were he not a Christian, but that makes me love him even more :D). Clay would never leave me for or cheat on me with some dirty skank... :P

Working Girl
05.10.04 (4:12 pm)   [edit]
This week is when I venture out to find a summer job (pref. retail). I'm late on this because I was at Disney my first week of break. Well, I did turn in one application but they don't seem to be biting. :? Whatever, I'll just try The Limited, Express, VS, The Buzz, maybe Brookstone, etc. See, I NEED A CAR. That's my main goal for the summer and I need a ride to put my new liscence plate frame on with Jessica Rabbit that says: "I'm not bad...I just drive that way!" :D Oh, and my Disney car antenna topper.

Switcheroo...
05.08.04 (12:53 pm)   [edit]
My sis and I are switching rooms so we're repainting them and moving everything. Unfortunately, mine is nowhere near done and my new bed isn't even set up yet, so I'm kinda S.O.L. :) But my new (smaller) room and bed should be cool and I swear I'm gonna keep this one clean! :D

Anyway, I'm giving the bf a break and will be spending the night at home tonight. Hopefully Tiff and I will get together today/tonight and have some chick-bonding-guy-bashing fun.

:!: Also- I saw Mean Girls last week and it was SOOOOO funny! It's not a teenybopper movie, more like an SNL movie. Go see it! :D :!:

I have returned
05.07.04 (5:27 pm)   [edit]
Disney was awesome! I got to go to the Animal Kingdom for the first time (it blows) and I got to go to EPCOT twice! :) The best part ever was seeing Cirque du Soleil: La Nouba last night; it was amazing! We also rented one of those little boats yesterday and drove it around the man-made lakes and in front of the Magic Kingdom. There's only one piece of bad news: WE HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO PICTURES FROM OUR VACATION!!! Why? The digital camera went AWOL. :(
Oh well, I have the memories. Hopefully, I'll be going back with some friends in August.
